This #TOKtvDigest is the first of a long series of posts, which will comment all the latest news about Social TV.

After CES and its forecast for Second Screen in 2013, the Golden Globe and the Academy Awards gained even more attention, especially on Twitter.

People love talking about TV shows on Twitter and so they do with movie stars and cinema.

During these days it was announced that the "Official Oscar App Adds Android, Facebook Ballots", as reported on Mashable by Christina Warren.

As we stated in the past, Social TV metrics play an interesting role and Twitter announced on its blog that is going to track the Social buzz around the Academy Awards.

Last week Twitter recruited stars to live tweet the Golden Globes, as written by Natan Edelsburg on Lost Remote.

Twitter perfectly knows that it plays an interesting role in Social TV and second screen practices: and it is not going to step down.

The question is always the same, tough: is Twitter going to find a concrete way to monetize all the conversations about TV on its platform?

Is it planning to be - as said some months ago - a "broadcaster" itself?

Let's see.
